my style

I like to ‘add’ to your wedding by singing great songs everyone loves to hear. Weather that is singing with the White Piano during the daytime, or performing your first dance at night. I like to just ‘be there’ and create an atmosphere without being overpowering or ‘in your face’ as they say.

I know how much thought goes into planning a wedding, and my job as a singer is to compliment what will already be a wonderful day, taking care of all your music tastes and giving you and your guests a great time!

what you get

A Professional Singer, Musician AND a DJ. My job is to take care of the music for the whole day. From the Ceremony right up until last orders!

I bring ALL the gear! The small unobtrusive sound system perfect for the Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast, to the BIG sound system in the evening for the party! I also have a starlit back drop with full professional DMX computer controlled disco lights! Oh yes, I also have an Electric White Baby Grand Piano that can be set up for the Ceremony & Wedding Breakfast.

THE CEREMONY

Singing the Bride down the aisle: This can be a song of your choice sung and played completely live as you walk down the aisle. It can take as little as 2 minutes for the entire bridal party to enter and for the bride to reach the end of the aisle, so bare this in mind when choosing a song, you may not need the whole song. Timings of when page boys, flower girls, bridesmaids and of course the bride enter the ceremony can all be discussed with Simon nearer the time so that the entrance runs smoothly.
Singing as you sign the register: You’ll need to choose 2/3 songs as the signing can take up to 10 minutes. This normally works well with songs that can be played and sung live with just the piano. This will create a calm, romantic atmosphere whilst you carry out the legal bit and have some photos taken. Picking songs that are upbeat and loud doesn’t tend to work well with the registrar and the guests.
Singing  as you leave the ceremony as husband and wife: Now it can be loud and upbeat! This is the time to celebrate and walk back down the aisle in style. Here you can pick a song that is uplifting, happy and impactful. Think of it like the movies. Once the registrar or vicar pronounces you as the brand new Mr & Mrs……… everyone is on their feet, clapping, and the song kicks in!

THE DRINKS RECEPTION

Background music provided (if required) as you have your drinks reception inside or outside: Straight after the wedding ceremony, you are now into your drinks reception. Depending on where the ceremony has taken place, (church or wedding venue) you will be heading off to the area or venue where you can pick up a drink and enjoy chatting to your guests. Background music can be provided here wherever you are. So if you are enjoying the gardens of a wedding venue, or just simply another room, I have a battery powered, waterproof, wireless speaker that can placed anywhere so that you can have background music during the drinks reception. You can even use the speaker to play your own music from a playlist you have created if you wanted to!

THE WEDDING BREAKFAST

Relaxed, romantic songs performed live with the piano as you dine: Whilst you were having that well deserved drink, I would have been setting up my equipment including the White Baby Grand Piano ready for the live singing spots during the Wedding Breakfast. Designed so that you can still enjoy a conversation whilst listening to live music. Here I will sing and play for 2 x 45 minute sets. The first set will start as your guests enter the room and take their seats. This is a great way to introduce them to having a live singer during the meal. This also tends to be quite a subtle performance as you are served your starter and main course, again, just loud enough to appreciate. Then I’d take a quick break, background music is provided at this point, and then I’d start my second set, this time being a little more upbeat. This is the time that people are a bit more relaxed having their dessert and coffees and sometimes people have a good old sing song! Great for getting them in the mood for the evening party!

EVENING SINGING

Your first dance performed live: This is when the night starts! Having your first dance around 8pm is perfect. Evening guests have arrived, background music is playing, and now people are waiting for something to happen. Here you can pick any song from my song list (click here) and this will be sung live as you take to the dance floor. If the song you you’d like isn’t on the list, let me know, and I may be able to learn it especially for you.
2 x 45 minute upbeat live singing sets during the evening: Straight after your first dance, the first of 2 singing sets begins! All the material I sing is proven to create a great atmosphere and get people dancing. You can’t go wrong with the classics, or a bespoke set list can be created just for you!

DJ

Full DJ service with full professional lighting: Exactly what it says on the tin! I provide all the disco lighting & sound system. Having me as your DJ means that you don’t have to think about hiring anyone else. It also means that I can switch from singing mode to DJ mode with ease because I am controlling everything. The second I stop singing, the next track is played from the Disco so there is no start stopping, no change over, and no change of sound. It is a continuous flow of party music! Also all announcements throughout the evening including the cutting of the cake and first dance will be made as part of the DJ service.

FAQs

Will you be able to set up the Piano for the Ceremony, and then set it up for the Wedding Breakfast?
Yes, providing there is enough time to do this. A minimum of 1 hour is required from the end of your Ceremony to when your guests enter the room for the Wedding Breakfast. If this is not possible. Either the Ceremony or the Wedding Breakfast, and then Simon will set up his keyboard for the other part.
What happens if there is not enough space for the piano?
Then Simon will set up his keyboard and stand which will take up less than half the space needed for the White Baby Grand Piano.
