Important information BEFORE you read this song list…
Being a singer and musician who performs at many weddings and functions, it is my job to cater for all tastes and to have a repertoire that covers many different styles of music.
I guarantee you will not like every song on this list, and this is completely normal. So in order for me to cater my singing to your event, please feel free to make notes and highlight the songs you like, dislike, and don’t mind. Please bare in mind I will not be performing all the songs listed here but will sing roughly 10 to 12 songs per 45 minute performance.
It is never a good idea to ‘make up’ sets for me to sing as quite often, when singing live, the genre, feel and tempo of songs is very important to get right. It’s about reading your crowd, and knowing when to play certain songs. I treat my songs like ammunition, and sing particular songs at particular times to ensure the best outcome. I have chosen my songs carefully, and have made professional adjustments in a studio where necessary so that some songs ‘mix’ into each other, for example: ‘Happy’ by Farrell and ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ by Olly Murs are the same tempo and so I have professionally mixed these songs into each other seamlessly, thus keeping the beat steady and constant. This all makes for a better dancing experience and means there is less ‘start-stopping’ on the dance floor. As a rule of thumb, my sets tend to be as lively as possible in the evenings, with the 2nd set being even more upbeat.
When a booking is made with Simon, this song list will be sent to you so you can work through it and pick the best songs for your occasion.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
